Kansas Field Trips for Classes and School Groups

Team-building course

A world away from the usual classroom activities, Rock Springs provides a fun, hands-on experience for guests to discover our natural world. Engaging field trips create lasting memories for students of all ages.

Try our Stream Study, and be ready to wade into the water to find examples of aquatic life. Every group should consider a trail ride through the scenic Flint Hills with our golden herd of Palomino horses. Add an archery session and delicious lunch for the complete fun-filled day.

The possibilities are endless for your next class field trip. Rock Springs has over 15 different educational activities, as well as a variety of recreational activities. Your students can be exposed to a brand new experience with each visit to Rock Springs! Trips are easily tailored for students of varying ages. Groups may choose a combination of activities to fill an afternoon or spend the night. Add a campfire with s’mores to the agenda for an evening your students will never forget.

In addition, meeting rooms are available for you to plan and facilitate programs of your own. Rock Springs can accommodate groups of all sizes; the Riley-Wallace Education Center has multiple classrooms which are ideal for small groups, and Spencer Auditorium in Heritage Hall accommodates up to 400 in theatre-style seating.

This year, treat your class to Kansas' best field trip destination. Call (785) 257-3221 to learn more.
